People generally underestimate how long it takes to build muscle. It requires several things to be done correctly. Such as eating the right nutrition. Consistent effort every day and week. And also making sure you are contracting the muscle correctly. With that being said, it can be a few months before someone gains noticeable muscle. Because there are multiple factors as I stated above that matter. But people tend to generally just eat more and think they are putting on more muscle, When this isn’t the case. They really just added more fat to their body which made it look like they gained muscle. So, I’m talking about putting on actual muscle here, and how long does it take to build noticeable muscle. So, let’s say someone is performing the best to their ability on everything they can do, They are enacting and doing everything the best they can themselves. Because you have to understand, Everyone has different strengths, genetics, lifestyles, learning curves, nutrition. There is a lot that comes into factor. Even though it is unlikely someone in their first year will know how to perform Everything correct, let’s just say someone is doing everything right and it's their first year of training. You can look to gain around 4 to 12 lbs of muscle in the first year With the latter of that range being more on the unlikely side. And within that year you will start to notice a difference. Maybe not right away but over months you will Especially if you do a picture comparison with at least 3 months apart. But in a year’s time or even sooner you can definitely see some difference. Where the issue lies is that people often always compare themselves to, someone who is in amazing shape or ripped or muscular, and get discouraged because they know it will take some time for them to look like that. Or they become fired up to put in the work And after a few weeks or months, they give up because they realize How hard it actually is and how much time it takes. But what people often forget and need to focus on more is, The progression you can get slowly month after month. And how little by little all that time adds up. And before you know it, you’re a few months down the road, And you have already started to shape your body. So, to answer the question on how long does it take to build noticeable muscle? It can differ from person to person but Generally, within a few months, Between 3 to 6 months, you can see a noticeable difference Regarding building muscle. Remember putting on weight is different But actually added muscle takes some time and will require Someone to put in the work. And provided you're doing everything we listed above correct it still takes time So don’t get discouraged on how long it will take but rather Just putting in the time little by little every day and every week. And over time you will get progressive gains and eventually Get to where you want to be. Disclaimer: I am not a doctor nor a nutritionist.
