Excessive cardio Does Not Cause Weight Gain!

Excessive cardio Does Not Cause Weight Gain!

I can’t believe people believe this.

That cardio can cause weight gain.

I have seen multiple statements like this and try to explain why this is the case.

Some of the titles were clickbait but others literally meant exactly what they said.

I can’t believe it lol.

The most ridiculous thing I have ever seen on social media or on the internet before.

It’s just simply not true.

Cardio causes you to lose more weight with the amount of energy you put out.

As a matter of fact.

When it comes to weight loss

Cardio will give you more results than weightlifting

THAT IS NOT TO SAY YOU SHOULDN’T WEIGHTLIFT.

I had to throw that out there before people get all fussy about it.

God knows I love weightlifting myself.

But if we're comparing expenditures of calorie loss cardio will beat out weightlifting every time.

You want to build muscle over time as having more muscle mass helps to control your body weight.

And having more muscle mass also causes you to use up more calories as your muscles need more to be sustained.

But cardio will always cause more loss than traditional weightlifting.

Hmm, I wonder what happens if you then combine the two??? Food for thought…

But back to what I was saying, cardio will and always cause weight loss.

Whether it's through forms of Hiit exercises or swimming or running

Whatever.

You will lose weight.

You of course need to make sure your nutrition is on point,

As for calories in versus out will decide your weight as well.

But plain and simple, doing cardio will cause you to lose weight as well.
