Physical 100 and Why You Should Train Like Them

Physical 100 and Why You Should Train Like Them

So, If you haven’t watched the show physical 100 that everyone has been raving about then I suggest you should.

It's every bit captivating and fun to watch. It reels you in with the competitiveness of the obstacles and matches each contestant has o go through as they all test one another to try and find out who’s the top dog of physical 100.

But the important factor here is the rigorous competitive matches they had to go through to be the best. And if it's one thing that was shown to me after watching the entire season, it's how important it is to have balance in all areas of fitness.

When you look at each competition, although some of them require more various physical attributes to be needed to win, overall if you weren’t well versed and balanced in speed, strength, mobility, agility, endurance with muscle and stamina, then you had a higher chance of being picked off.

It goes to further show how you can't just be all about strength or be all about speed as one without the other will cause you to fail.

But even if you just want to get into shape and become stronger, this build of being overall well-rounded is a better way to go.

And look, I love bodybuilding, I still do it daily and incorporate strength training but I also add in exercises that will help build stamina with speed and cardiovascular strength. You feel better and can tackle life better as well.

But by the end of the show, It came down to 2 males who seemed again to be very well-rounded. Although there is more news of how the finale didn’t actually go down fairly, well leave that for other blogs to cover. The main point here is that their physiques were pretty well-rounded.

Woo Jin-yong the CrossFit athlete and ex-professional snowboarder bested his competitor Jung Hae-min who was also a well-rounded athlete with his lower body favoring his strengths because of his cycling background.

Both performed well and both had strengths in all areas, especially in their ability to keep going. The ability to keep pushing game after game in order to test themselves and win is by far the best attribute both players had. People can sit there and make decisions about what a contestant should have done here or there but until you have been through a similar physical situation and really push your mind to the brink of it breaking you can’t really say much.

Their ability to look beyond the pain their body was enduring and just focus on their mindset and push through.

At the end of it all when it comes to your physique, of course, you can do whatever you like. But iv found as I get older, it just benefits me better to stay muscular and strong but also to make sure my speed, flexibility, and endurance I up to par.
