Reflection on 2021

Reflection on 2021

The year 2021 has been a year of growth that’s for sure. Between moving into a new city and home with my future wife to getting my fitness business up and running, a lot has happened which has allowed for growth in every aspect.

But I think the most important thing for me is being able to do what I love and enjoy for a career and knowing I get to keep building on them.

One is of course my fitness business. Training and helping people better themselves are something I always enjoyed doing. Since I was 14, I have always liked to be active and challenge myself and from 18 and on Is when I fell in love with weightlifting.

Over the years I became more and more fascinated with not just being able to get stronger and more muscular but wanting to learn how the human body works and performed at its peak. So fast forward to today where I am training multiple people in person and have helped several people online, I feel grateful I have found a passion that I can not only enjoy helping people and educating them through but also make money from.

My goal for 2022 is to continue to grow my online business to three times the amount that it is now. There can always be made for more room to grow online because I am not nearly as tapped out with time as I am training people in person.

But the one thing, and the most important thing, that an online presence will never have on training someone in person is the aspect of actually training someone right in front of you.

The person will always get so much more from a trainer training someone in person, provided the trainer is great. I can always do much more in terms of pushing someone or showing an individual how to properly exercise or just pointing out mistakes or how to execute exercises correctly in person. Plus, being able to build a rapport and relationship with an individual in person is something that can never be replaced.

Who knows, maybe in the metaverse those rules will change. But until then, training in person is a pretty big passion for me as I can help people become better versions of themselves.

The other thing I have a passion for, and personally to myself, is arguably a bigger one than personal training, it's being an author and getting to write fantasy and sci-fi.

2021 has also been a year of growth for me as well as I released another novel.

Sci-fi and fantasy have always been a passion of mine, but I never thought I would be one to write them.

Since I was 26 years old, I have been writing several short stories in mainly fantasy and even self-growth categories formulated from ideas I create on my own.

Aside from the short story I released I also was able to finish sixty percent of my main series Illithesium. Because of my fitness business, I have had less time to dedicate to my writing, but I still do write several days a week because it feels weird if I don’t.

Pretty similar to working out actually. If I don’t work out every day It just doesn’t sit right with me.

But none the less I started several written projects in 2021 that I plan to finish in 2022. And I told myself once I get my fitness business on autopilot, I would focus most of my attention back on my writings as that is where I ultimately want to put most of my time towards.

Although creating a story of fantasy and all the characters and settings that go within it is a daunting task, there’s just something about it that I Thoroughly enjoy and will keep doing the rest of my life.

Having two things I thoroughly enjoy doing that fulfills me I feel as though is a big blessing.

Many people on this Earth live and die never truly living the life they want. And I have been able to find not one but two passions I enjoy and wouldn’t trade anything for. Now I just spend my days working towards them and growing within them as much as I can.

Hopefully, you can say the same for yourself. And if not, hopefully, the year 2022 will be the year where you get to finally find that thing that brings you joy.
